Student Answer:  I understand that you think I turned in my homework late, however I know for a fact I did not and your accusations are hurtful, please stop. I have proof that I turned it in on time, please allow me to prove it to you.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  I understand that sometimes things come up in the way of plans, but this is a consistent problem and I'm starting to feel like you don't value my time. Please stop making plans and cancelling suddenly the day of, I'd like at least 24 hour notice if possible.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  Even if you don't get what you want its still good to communicate assertively as people will more often keep in mind your feelings on the subject, and its good to keep it up as a habit.
