Essay: Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning. Student Answer: I would ask the teacher for recommended course of action and blindly adhere, only monitoring the progress on grade-point/assignment-completion rather than the knowledge gained. Our math program is near obsolete without a teacher holding your hand. It is incredible dull. I just waste my time trying work alone when not in class. How the program is designed, students are punished by entering the wrong answer after a few tries, so there is no benefit to using this program alone without cheating. I would rather learn something of use. The program works for a minority of the student body and nobody has anything good to say about it. IMathAS took my love for math away from me. |
