Essay: Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning. Student Answer: If I was struggling to learn a concept in math, what I would do is use self-regulation to help myself. First, I would see what I'm doing wrong and how I can fix it. I would make a plan for the lesson and lessons going forward, if I have many lessons that I haven't finished I will focus on the earliest one. Next, I would talk to my teacher for help, if the teacher is teaching the concept in a way I don't understand then I'd ask a parent, or Google for help. But if I simply was absent and don't understand, I'd ask the teacher for some outside-of-class help on the assignment, like tutoring. After that, I'd work at home and school, or with any free time I have to finish the assignment(s). After that, I'd reflect on how I did, how I could do better, or how well I did. |
