Essay: Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning. Student Answer: The first thing I'd do if I were struggling in math was to discuss the concept that I am finding difficult with my teacher and ask what I could do to improve my learning experience to the best of my abilities. Then I take their advice and follow the instructions my teacher gives for me to succeed; plan out study dates I can do in my free time, or after school with my math teacher if they have the time and ask questions during class. Once I feel like I understand the concept better, I'll monitor my work to check if it's right or needs to be adjusted. If it needs to be adjusted then I know I need to study more and ask my teacher for help, that's how I'll adjust the issue in the end. |
