Essay: Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning. Student Answer: Usually when I'm struggling with something in math I make a list of what exact parts of the concept I'm having trouble with and spend a week or so going over the list practicing what I need to improve on. I compare my new work to my old work to see what I did wrong before so I can't make the mistake again. I try to pay close attention to how my scores go up/go down/stay the same after my practicing that way I can continue to improve on the skill if needed. |
