Essay: Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning.
Student Answer: When I am struggling on a topic or just a problem in math I would ask a family member or ask a friend to help me on the topic. For example, if i was working on fractions I would ask my sister, who is in a higher grade than me, to help me on the topic and explain how to solve it and when there is a problem similar to it. A different component is I would break the problem into different sections and try the problem again, if that doesn't work I would ask the teacher that I was confused on that question and that I need help on it. |
