Essay: Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning.
Student Answer: If I'm confused about something in math my first action would be to talk to my teacher about it. It won't do any good to just move on and not know what I'm doing. After getting help from my teacher I would spend time on what I'm doing and fully understand the concept. I would adjust my plan if needed by getting additional help and maybe a tutor too. Then at the end I would reflect on what worked and what didn't and then next time when I get stuck I know what or what not to do. |
