Student Answer:  I would calmly state that I remember turning it in, then I would double-check if I did turn it in, and lastly, I would accept whatever the teacher chooses and do an extra credit assignment to make up for the late grade.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  I would express the way they way that makes me feel, then I would tell them if they want to hang out they need to commit to it, and lastly, I would take charge of the setting and time that we hang out.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  When I feel very strong about a situation and or a serious topic that needs to be addressed.
