Student Answer:  I understand that you are very busy and things come up. But I take time out of my schedule to meet with you and when our plans fall through it bothers me.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  There is a better chance of resolving the issue at hand. Also you will say what you feel you need to while still being respectful.
