Essay: When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer: I do not think that being assertive will get me any where in this world, cause at the end of the day we live in a cruel world full of hatred. So if I where to be kind, calm and collected when trying to get something done, it wouldn't ever be done because people will walk all over you. I believe being stern and fierce will get me where I want to be because then no man can tell me how something is "supposed" to be done. I believe this because there are so many people in this world that don't believe women can do anything and that they're merely just property or just someone to take care of children and a home. So at the end of the day I will be the most stern and controlling person so no one can ever take advantage of me again. |
