Essay: Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late. Student Answer: I don’t like how your accusing me of something I didn’t do. Since you believe it is late you must have moved the paper somewhere and then forgotten or you just didn’t realize what you were doing in the first place. So how about you search for it again and if you find it all will be resolved. |

Essay: Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute. Student Answer: I was really looking forward to hanging out with you. I wish we could’ve spent at least one out of the several days that you planned together. It hurts my feeling that you can’t keep plans with me as your best friend. If it were something serious that caused you to have to cancel plans I would be more understanding but when you cancel plans so you can follow through with plans you made before of after making them with me I just get really upset about it. |
