Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  I know that you have a deadline for homework, but accusing me of turning mine in late isn’t very honorable of you. I am a little upset that you would do something like that.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  I know you have a busy life, but making plans and then canceling isn’t very respectful. I have other things to do too.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  One is that the people may change their mind and agree with you. Two is that even if you don’t get what you want, at least you spoke your mind.
