I understand that some students have turned in homework late, however I am not one of them. Mistakes happen, but please understand that being falsely accused is very hurtful to a student that did nothing wrong.

It's obvious that you have a lot going on, but when you continue to cancel plans with me, it makes me no longer want to plan doing anything with you in the future.

It is healthy to take up for yourself, which reduces the risk of becoming withdrawn and depressed.
Even though we may not always get what we want, being assertive about our wishes will prevent any regrets and misunderstandings when communicating with others.
