I realize that you might believe I turned my homework in late, but I did not. I just handed it in right after you grabbed all the other papers. I hope that you realize both of our perspectives and realize what had happened.

I would greatly appreciate it if you wouldn't cancel our plans. I have reserved my time for you many times and you cancelled. When you do this it makes it so that I have nothing to do at those times and feel bored.

Because you could state your reasons and help people to understand your perspective or you could get what you want because you did share your opinions.
