I know that you think I turned in my homework late, but I did not. I showed it to you that day when I turned it in. I understand if you lost my paper or misunderstood what I was doing. I can show you the date I turned it in, if you would like.

I understand if something comes up, but please stop making plans with me and then cancelling last minute. It makes me feel left out and I don't like that feeling. If you know you are going to have to cancel on me when we make plans, please just say so. It will go over a lot better if you tell me when the plans are being drawn rather than when I'm getting ready to walk out the door to meet you for that plan.

If you are arguing, people won't be able to use your words, tone, or actions against you. Also, you have a lot better chance of getting your way if you don't yell at the person or let the other person get everything they want.
