I wanted to let you know that I turned in the assignment on time. If you do not agree with me that is ok, but I wanted to tell you that I truly turned it in on time. If you and I could come to an agreement that would be great.

I feel really hurt when you make all the plans with me than cancel on the last second. If you would not make plans than cancel them that would be wonderful. Maybe making less plans or even smaller plans would be great!

You should still communicate assertively, because your tone comes of nicer, and you are being respectful to the person you are talking to.
