I would describe the situation first saying I understand that you think I turned in my homework late. Then to express how I feel say I feel frustrated because I did turn in my homework on time and this affects my grade poorly. Then finally ask if the teacher would be willing to look at the time I submitted it again and clear up this problem.

I noticed you've been making plans with me and then canceling at the last minute. I feel upset because I do want to hang out together but it's frustrating when you keep canceling plans. I think we need more communication let me know sooner if you need to cancel.
