Three things I could do to raise my belief in myself when facing a difficult challenge are: take 5 deep breathes to calm my mind, think about what I've done in the past to overcome other difficult challenges, and accept that even if I fail at first I still can keep trying until I get it; if I don't get it, I can ask someone for help.
