I remember turning the homework in on time, the date on the system says it's on time, though I'm willing to take the points given if it's too much for you to go back and re-grade it.

I understand that things come up and it's hard to keep things scheduled, but is there a way to make a plan and stick to it?

It's more polite/respectful and even if it won't get you everything it will give you more than being anything else.
