Are you trying to avoid me? I don't mean to accuse you but I just wanted to know if something is wrong or if I did something wrong because you keep making plans for us to hang out, but then you cancel at the last minute, and if I did something wrong I'd like to know so I can fix what I did.

You should still communicate assertively so people do not assume you will just take everything they say, or do to you. Another reason you should still speak assertively is to get your point or feelings across properly so people don't misunderstand you or your words.
