If I was facing a challenge and am not sure I can be successful, there are three main things I can do to raise my belief in myself. I can ask for help on the subject. For example, if a problem on my math homework is confusing me or I have a writing assignment I think needs editing, I can ask my older sister for help. A parent, sibling, teacher, or friend could help walk you through something if your having difficulty. Another strategy is if i'm getting anxious about something, I will take a deep breath or fidget with something quietly, like my pencil or play with my ring. Also specifically for tests or quiz's I will trick my anxiety brain into thinking its just a regular assignment, I don't usually get anxious about assignments so thinking a test is just a regular assignment I will put effort into to get right. A third strategy could be simply practicing the topic or studying old worksheets or assignments. I can go through my notes in my notebook or old worksheets for math and remind myself of strategy. For writing, there are slideshows explaining topics in classroom along with practice worksheets. For reading, same thing old assignments in classroom I can review. For science I can do legends of learning or go review old assignments. For social study's I review old assignments again or make a study sheet. There are a lot of ways to raise your belief in yourself to work through a challenge or assignments, I personally mainly use these three things, asking someone for guidance, if I am anxious calming myself down, and finally reviewing old work or notes to better understand a topic.
